On 13th October 2012 thirty cyclists left Axminster in Devon and rode 769 miles to the Slow Food Salone del Gusto festival in Turin, Italy, in memory of Philippa Corbin. We rode to raise awareness of depression and raise funds for two charities.

Abel & Cole

If it wasn’t for Phillipa, we wouldn’t have the fantastic range of jams we have today. It was she who put us in touch with her mother when we phoned River Cottage in search of some jam expertise. Since then, we’ve had a wonderful relationship with both Thursday Cottage and River Cottage and this is thanks to Phillipa. She had an indomitable spirit and a deep dedication to her art. She was extremely interesting to work with. The Slow Ride to Turin is a beautiful way of celebrating her life and her passions.
