On 13th October 2012 thirty cyclists left Axminster in Devon and rode 769 miles to the Slow Food Salone del Gusto festival in Turin, Italy, in memory of Philippa Corbin. We rode to raise awareness of depression and raise funds for two charities.

Day 13 – Lanslebourg to Turin (66 Miles)

There is a nip in the air this morning but the sky is clear and thankfully no snow on the ground.  Careful plans have been brought into the final day of the ride to Turin and the cyclists need to be on the road in good time this morning.  The route starts with a steep 6 mile  climb to the Col de Cenis where it levels out past Lac du Mont Cenis.  Then it’s down hill all the way to the border for passport checks as we cross the border into Italy.  How exciting is that!  Keeping the Torino signs in sight Team SRTT will cycle  the final 50 miles before meeting  up  in Park G. Colnnetti, and will then,  ride as a group to The Lingotto Building.  Perhaps a little celebration there  as we end this extraordinary journey to Turin for dear Pip. X
